Sweet & Simple Card Making

Today's Card Challenge is to make a one layer card.  Stampin' Up! Betsy's Blossoms struts her stuff on this sweet & simple card.  I did cheat just a little bit with a Primrose Petals Stitched Satin Bow.

Did you notice the crisp, solid images.  It almost looks like I printed this card.  Look closely, you will find all 5 new In Color Inks: Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit, Gumball Green and Midnight Muse.

These will be my Thank You cards this month.  Watch for a video tutorial coming soon.  I am itching to share the Firm Foam Pad with you.  They are fab-u-licious.

Card Making It's All About the Details

 

Playing in my Studio, bringing out the toys (oops tools), because card making is all about the details.  I received the Raining Flowers stamp set last year at the Stampin' Up! Convention.

My flowers are stamped with Daffodil Delight, Pretty in Pink and Raspberry Ripple (YUM, YUM, it even sounds delicious) Stampin' Pads.  A few Old Olive leaves and we are good to go.  Did you happen to notice the new Oval Accent Bigz die scooping up my flowers?

 

Watch the details bring my card to life.  Sprinkle on Blossom Party die-cut flowers, Designer Buttons and............In Color Dahlias!  It really is "raining flowers" as my stamped images take on new dimension.

I am smiling about how the new Stitched Satin Ribbon molds so easily in my hands forming beautiful bows.  And the stitches and dots are so happy together.

Big 4 Day Celebration

Help me celebrate June 2 through June 5. Here's why-the 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! Catalog goes live on June 1, Stamping Country's shares its 100th Video and I want to a party for my birthday.  Stay tuned for details.

Redecorating

Nature Silhouettes Masculine Birthday Card

His birthday is a howling good event.   Why not make a masculine birthday card to fit the occasion?  Today's card was made for my son, Jeremiah, who recently celebrated another birthday.  Happy Birthday, Jeremiah!

My last piece of lovely Real Red Striped Grosgrain Ribbon (retiring) makes a smart bow to neatly finish my card. I'm going to miss my Striped Ribbon.

Robin's Rubber Stamping Tips-Masking

• The wolf from the Nature Silhouettes (retiring) was first stamped with VersaMark Ink, then heat embossed with Black embossing powder.
• Next, I punched a 1-1/4" Circle Punch from my post it notes pad.  Stick post it circle above wolf.
• Sponge area first with Bashful Blue and Night of Navy Classic Stampin' Pads.
• Remove Sticky note

Another Sneak Peek for you.  The cut shape is the Apothecary Accents Framelits.  The Happy Birthday was stamp with the Well Penned Stamp set.  I personalized my card with the Family Reunion stamp set.

The Rhinestones were applied before I decided to use my framelit giving my Rhinestones a  distressed look. What can I say, it worked.

My envelope and card inside gave me one more chance to use the oh so cute Ronald McDonald House stamp set of 2011-2012.  The Turtle & Co. stamp set will be retiring in just 5 more days.

Milestone 30th Birthday Card

A Milestone 30th Birthday deserves a stand out card.  Love, love, Love the Dots.  How perfect to say Happy Birthday on her big day.

Card & Envelope Tips

• Cut a small background piece of Old Olive Designer Paper from the Bright Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack to place behind your Lattice (115959).
• The Designer Paper was also used to make a Designer Envelope with my Simply Scored Diagonal.  If you missed the tutorial on envelope making Click Here
• For a standard envelope cut a 7-3/4" square of Designer paper, then score with your Simply Scored Scoring Tool alternating between 3-1/8" and 4-1/8".
• Our "30" was die cut with the Timeless Type Junior Alphabet dies 115951(retiring).

Joe & I love our trip to Disney World with Stampin' Up! It was jam packed with lots of fun. In addition, each day we received a  beautifully packaged pillow gift.  For today's card I repurposed one of my fabulous bows made with the new Essentials Designer Fabric.  

Basic Patterns and Basic Colors bring Striking Projects.   Look for more projects featuring this beautiful fabric, because I also received a Essentials Designer Fabric package when I spun the prize wheel.  How fun is that?

My Digital Studio is a great way to add the perfect Sentiment to any card.  I love that Digital Stamps can be printed in all the Stampin' Up! Colors both past and present.  The Fashionable Stamp Brush Set (129883) says it perfectly, because, what can I say,  I was fashionably late for my sweet Daughter-in-law's Birthday.

Wave Good-bye

So sad, to bad we will wave Good-bye to retiring Stamp sets and accessories in just 6 more days.

 This Anniversary card was made for a dear friend who celebrates her 50th Anniversary this week.  Plus, it's another Betsy's Blossoms Sneak Peek.  That's just one thing that I love about being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator-Sneak Peeks.  We get to touch, feel and play with brand new Stampin' Up! products before everyone.  Love it, Love it, Love it!

Craft Coordination Blitz

Coordination takes the guess work out of making a beautiful project. The Betsy's Blossoms stamp set coordinates perfectly with Floral District Designer Paper.  And the matching Betsy's Blooms wheel adds a finishing touch to our envelope.

 Ribbon Flower Tips

• Gather along edge of Ribbon and pull, gathering into a "flower" circle shape.
• Try adding a ribbon petal too
• Stitch in a Designer Button with Baker's Twine
• Side Note-the lovely Striped and Satin Ribbons are Retiring and are only available through May 31 or while supplies last.

 The number 50 was cut with the Alphabet Simple Numbers dies (Retiring) and Brushed Gold Card Stock to celebrate 50 years of marriage.
