As you'll soon see, I'm enamored with this little bear from the under the stars set. 

Here's the inside.  This is a spring card technique that I learned at convention.  First, Punch 2 circles using the NEW 1-3/4" Circle punch.  Use snips to cut spirals.  Next, use glue dot to attach head of first spiral on bottom left, and then attach tail of second spiral on bottom right. Reverse the process on the top portion of card.  I then attached stars in tangerine tango and pacific point using the star punch.  Have fun.

Isn't he something. The marshmallow is textured with white embossing powder.

This little coon is also from the Under the Stars set.  My son, the trapper, doesn't think he looks like much of a coon, but I think he's sweet.  The spray can says Skeeter Spray.

You're on My Mind is from the Upsy Daisey set.  I couldn't resist using the Top Note die with my new Big Shot. The Kiwi Kiss Satin ribbon is absolutely lucisious.

World Card Making Day Honors Our Military

Wow, these quiet gently, rolling hills of central Ohio really took a hit from the recent hurricane/front. We are usually immune to hurricanes.  Power is out still out all around us. Many businesses and homes are without power and water.  Two large black locust trees nearly took out my thinking swing. But as you can see, we have power here in our little country home so it's time to share with you again.

For those of you that live in the area, come join me a the Bellville branch library in the Community Room on October 9th from 6-8pm to make cards to bless our Armed Services. All supplies will be provided.This is, however, an adult event.  No participants under 12 please. 

My son has told me that it is very hard to find appropriate cards to send home to loved ones.  So at this event,  I hope to make about 250 cards for our men and women of the Armed Forces to send home to their loved ones while they are away serving our great country.  We will be making adult and children's birthday cards, Hi cards, Love You cards, and Christmas Cards.

Never made a card? No problem.  I will be there to teach you basic techniques. The cards will be cut and ready to make.  Feel free to come and learn something new while blessing others.
