Sweet shop cupcakes

These sweet shop cards used the crazy for cupcakes set.  The glitz on the frosting is two-way glue and dazzling diamonds, the awning is made using the scallop edge punch and stampin' dimensionals.  The awning is first scored at 1/2", and then folded over and attached to the top of card.  Place two stampin' dimensionals on the under side at the ends of the awning.  These cards were both made with the Bella Rose Designer Paper, just flipped.  This is really a fun set to work with.

Scallop Turkeys

It's been awhile since my last post.  Weddings tend to keep you busy.  My son, Jonathan, married his beautiful bride, Julie, this past weekend.  They looked so happy.  :0  And as an added bonus, my husband and I were able to visit with all six sons, three daughter-in-laws, our grandson, and parents.  Life doesn't get much better than that.  I'll post a family picture later, but for now scallop turkey projects.

Start with five quarter sheets of Earth Elements card stock.  I used 2-Close to Cocoa and 1-each of Pumpkin Pie, More Mustard and Really Rust. Roll all five sheets of card stock through the Big Shot using the Scallop circle #2 Bigz Die.  You can use the smaller scallops for smaller turkeys for napkin rings.  You may also use the scallop circle punch to make turkeys for napkin rings. The bigger scallops for bigger turkeys. The Scallop Circle Bigz Die makes the largest turkeys.

Next, cut the colored scallops and one cocoa scallop in half.

Cut Scallop in half

Mount the half scallops to form feathers.

Cut the final cocoa scallop so that three scallops are on the bottom and  one scallop is on top for the turkey's head. Use marker to make turkey's eyes.

Marker Eyes

Cut Bill and gobbler from pumpkin pie scraps.  Adhere stand to back of turkey to make place favor.  For smaller napkin ring, make strip from more mustard cardstock.  Another use for turkey would be to make a card.

Jonathan's Wedding 030

Clubs this month will make these neat napkin rings. See what you can do now.
