Today's card was designed to bring cheer to a team member that's going through a rough time.  Doesn't the flower almost look like it's made of fabric? My flower was fashioned with the Fun Flower die and Beau Chateau Designer Paper.

The Polka Dots are repeated on my envelope flap with the Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder and my paper ribbon was punched with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch.  What a mouth full.  Who came up with the name for that punch?  Think I'll call it the DSRB punch.  No, too confusing.  How about the dot punch?

Take the color challenge.  Give Pink Pirouette, Very Vanilla and Soft Suede a try.

The Soft Suede bow on the the Polka-Dot Fun Flower looks like a prize winning ribbon at the county fair.

Stampin' Up! Columbus Regional Event

 

Stampin' Up! Regionals-What a great get-a-way.  Here's part of our group working on our fabulous Make-n-Takes.

The Make-n-Takes were so stinkin' cute this year.  Would you like to see them?

 

Is that cute or what?

The bottom 2 layers of the flower were punched with the Triple Blossom Punch.  For the top layer we stamped the polka-dot kite from the send me soaring stamp set 4 times, then punched 4 small hearts.  The Bitty Button was threaded with Calypso Coral Baker's Twine.

Cute, Cute, Cute and it's interactive too.   The kite is a spinner.  How sweet is that?  The Send Me Soaring Stamp Set was really flying high today.  I just love that I get to play at work.

Stampin' Up! Regional Event

One of the best things about being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is getting away from the Rat Race for Stampin' Up! Events.  Today 12 of us are at the Columbus, Ohio Stampin' Up! Regional Event.  Stamping, Swapping, sharing, comparing, Workshop Wows...

To celebrate a day away, I altered Mini Composition Books for taking notes.  These little books are great for stuffing in  your purse.  Composition books are just so much cuter when they are altered.

Welcome to my studio, let's gather supplies & get started

Our covers were personalized with My Digital Studio and the free One Big Sale-A-Bration CD.  So cute and so easy.  Everyone will receive a notebook with her name on it.

A band of hearts dance across the front of our books.  They were dry embossed with the Adorning Accents Embossing Folder.  The Island Indigo backs were dry embossed with the Perfect Polka-Dots Embossing Folder.

I was delighted to discover the the 3/16" corner punch rounded my corners to fit perfectly over my Mini Composition Books.

My Labels Collections Framelits cut beautiful "Twitterpated" spine covers.

A band of Riding Hood Red Pleated Ribbon took my books from okay to "Wow".

Repurpose your flossers to thread Island Indigo Baker's Twine through your Regals Designer Buttons.  Now that's fast and easy!

Multiple Color Tips

• To get more than one color on the Just Believe stamp set. Color your rubber with the brush tip or wide tip end of your markers.
• Color the leaves and grass Pear Pizzazz and the flowers Crushed Concord.
• Huff on rubber to moisten
• Stamp

More Marker Tips

Did you know that your Dual Tip Markers should be stored on their side, so that the ink can flow evenly to both tips?

The brush tip end is great for coloring stamped images and rubber stamps and the small tip end is gets the "tight spots". The small tip end is also great for writing.  You will be stylin' when you sign your cards and address your envelopes matching the colors used on your card.

Stampin' Up! Regional Card Swaps

Gearing up for a Stampin' Up! Regional Event.  Twelve of us will be heading to Columbus this weekend for swapping, sharing, demonstrations and just plain fun.

The Have a Seat Stamp set seemed a good choice for my Retirement card.  I'm making up a stack of these to take to swap at this Saturday's Regional Event.

30th Birthday Card

A 30th Birthday Card for my son, Benjamin.  Can't believe he's 30.  Where has the time gone?  Something out of the ordinary was needed for such a monumental occasion.  A wide variety of supplies were used to pull this card together.

The Stampin' Up! Under the Stars stamp set was a must because the Bear's slightly crooked smile reminded me so much of Ben.  Also used was the Family Reunion, Smarty Pants and On Your Birthday stamp sets.

The #30 was die-cut using the Timeless Type Junior Alphabet dies.  The Square Lattice & Stripes embossing folders added texture.  And for a bit of a twist, I hooked around some Pool Party Baker's Twine.
