Fashionable Card Making

Were you told in years gone by to NEVER EVER mix pinks and oranges?  Or were you perhaps told that strips and polka-dots just do not mix?  Those were the reports from the "Fashion Police". 

If you look back at pictures from the 70's and 80's, one would have to ask who made them an authority on color and fashion?  Think Big hair, Leisure suits and bell bottoms.

Look around in stores and magazines today.  Pink and Orange are hot.  Let's embrace the change with today's Creativity Blooms Color Combo

Robin's Paper Craft Tips

• Our dress was fashioned with the Scallop Circle die (113468).  Cut circle then trim to shape of dress.  
• Make her sassy with a wide Pretty in Pink Satin Belt and a big Calypso Coral Button.
• The Riding Hood Red Pleated accent was as easy as the snip of my scissors with Riding Hood Red Pleated Ribbon (125569)
• The Button was cut and embossed with the Sweet Buttons Embosslit (121813)
• Our "Stripes" are the 2011-2013 In Color Patterns Designer Paper Stack (122384) & the "Polka-Dots" are Pretty in Pink Scallop Dots Ribbon (124141)
• Plant her in a garden with the Flower Garden Embossing Folder (123113.  For an added touch, try embossing your envelope.

We Have a New Grandson

It's a Boy! It's a Boy! It's a Boy

I did promise to get back to stamping today, so here's a Baby Card in celebration of our new Grandson's birth.  

Think outside the box when you need a special occasion card.  Our featured stamp set is not a traditional Baby Stamp set.   It's the Up, Up & Away stamp set,though I did use Baby Prints from the Occasions Mini for my high flying banner.

But that's not really what I wanted to show you.
