Blending with Blendabilities Alcohol Markers

Blendabilities Alcohol Markers from Stampin' Up! Now Available!  Woo-hoo!  The videos below will show different techniques for using Blendabilities Alcohol Markers for blending and coloring.  It's interesting to see that some of the artists start with the dark markers, while others start with the lightest marker.  The results are all so beautiful.

Angie Backman likes to start with the lightest color.  Notice that all the artists suggest working on only a small section at a time for best results.

Greg Cottrell starts with the darkest Blendabilites marker first.  He also demonstrates how to use the color lifter to soften his highlights.

Coloring with Alcohol Markers is a new technique for Katie Adams, but that didn't stop her from achieving beautiful results.  Katie likes to start to the lightest shade.  Katie also shares coloring rhinestones with Blendabilities.

Teri Allen starts by coating with the lightest shade.  Aren't her flowers gorgeous?

Carrie Cudney shares the Basic of using Blendabilities.  Notice, again, that there isn't a right and wrong way.  Everyone seems to have a little bit different technique.  The goal is to blend the colors for beautiful results.

Did you know that you can achieve an ombre look with your Blendabilities? Angie shows you how in this video tutorial.

Due to equipment issues I was unable to make a video tutorial of my own to share with you today.  Watch for Robin's How to Blend Video coming soon.

Hearts Go Boom-Boom

Groovy Love

You Make My Heart Go Boom-Boom-the Groovy Love stamp set is so much fun.  The first thing that I thought of when I first saw the Groovy Love set was Luke Bryan's-Boom Boom Song-Drunk on You.  And with Independence Day just few short days away, I couldn't resist going Red, White and Blue.

I also knew that I would be making plenty of cards and love notes for my sweetheart and husband of 34 years with the Groovy Love stamp set.  Here's to you, Joe.

Try This Card Technique

Bravo

Today's Hip-hip hooray! card starts with  a simple watercolor technique to make a happy Polka-Dot backdrop.  First, I embossed a piece of Whisper White card stock with the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder and my Texture Boutique Machine.  (Side Note-Stampin' Up!  has shipped replacement pads to everyone who ordered the Texture Boutique earlier this year.  Wow, they work great!)  Back to our background, I then painted my dots with my Aqua Painter and some Tangelo Twist Ink.  Hint:  Try placing a drop of ink from your reinker on  a Clear Block.  Your ink pads will remain in pristine shape and if you have clear stamps you should have a clear block within easy reach.

Bravo

My focal point is a large star cut with the star framelits and stamped with a Bravo stamp.  The new Eclectic Paper-Piercing pack provided a handy template for piercing around my star.  Gold Sequin Trim and a Hello Honey Double Bow completes my card. Love the soft In Color Stitched Satin Ribbon. It ties so nicely.  Stop back tomorrow to find out about ribbon shares.

Tomorrow is the Last Day to Join Stampin' Up! & The Ink-Spirations for just $50.  If you love paper crafts, Stampin' Up! & discounts, tomorrow is your last chance to give being a Stampin' Demonstrator a try for a mere $50.
