If you like fresh clean lines on your cards, you will appreciate today's Holiday Home Card using a Freshly Made Card Sketch.  Card sketches are such an easy jumping off point for card design.  The Holiday Home stamp set and coordinating framelits are new from the Holiday Catalog.  There's designed to be use from a variety of different occasions:  Christmas, new home, grateful for you and halloween.

Holiday Home by Stampin' Up!

 Robin's Card Tips

  • I did branch out and use my Free Exclusive Good Greetings Stamp set for my greeting.  The playful script is something to be admired.  And it's packed full with 19 different greetings.  Find Out More About the Free Exclusive Good Greetings Stamp Set
  • I use the Holiday Home stamp set and framelits for my house.  Then, I colored a few details using my Pumpkin Pie and Wisteria Wonder Blendabilities.
  • The rest is straight stamping.  The sun is a stamp from my Kinda Eclectic Stamp set.
  • Continuing with my Autumn theme, I slapped on a couple pieces of Color Me Autumn Designer Washi Tape.   Autumn is known as the second spring and the Color Me Autumn Collection really celebrates that fact with its vibrant colors and patterns.

Freshly Made Sketches

Inspiration for today's card design came from the Freshly Made Sketch

Bold & Bright Forever Florets

Big New Stamps by Stampin' Up!

My sister's birthday is new week.  What a great excuse to make a flashy and bright Birthday Card.  I took a "I refuse to conform" attitude making today's Birthday Card.  The rebel in me struggles with symetrical elements.

Robin's Birthday Card Tips

  • The Crushed Curry Embossing Powder really looks jazzy on the Pacific Point Card Stock.  There's no missing Big News birthday message.
  • The That's the Ticket stamp set and the Ticket Duo Builder Punch make cheap and trendy card & Scrapbook accents.  Stamped on Kraft paper, they are my new go to card accents.
  • A card this bold and bright deserves a little extra glitz.  I pulled a few sequins from the my Gold Sequin Trim and dotted them here and there.  The rest of the trim provides a dash of flash to my bow.

  • My Scallop Trim is actually 1" Old Olive Circles overlapping each other.
  •  I colored my Forever Floret Flower with Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Blendabilities.  I love the depth of color that I get coloring & blending with them.

Color Throwdown

Confession time, I almost never think of using Pacific Point.  The Color Throwdown Challenge nudged me into including Pacific on my card.   And, the results are quite beautiful.

Chalkboard Card & Gift Box

Choose Kindness Stampin' Up!

Words on a Chalkboard seemed an appropriate theme to kick off Labor day weekend.  I soon as I saw the Good Greetings stamp set, I wondered what it would look like with the Chalkboard Technique.  To create my "chalkboard" I simply inked my words and border stamps with Whisper White Ink and stamped them on Basic Black Card Stock.  My faux stitches were done with the White Chalk Marker.

Choose Kindness Stamps

Love, love, love the look of the tone on tone flowers from the Choose Happiness stamp set.  I loved it so much that I needed to stamp some more flowers on Kraft Card Stock.  Out came my new Gift Box Punch Board.  Can't believe this great tool is only $19.95!  I'll do a tutorial really soon.  Boxes are a breeze to make with the Gift Box Punch Board.  Seriously, what's not to love?  It's a really cool box to open too.  It explodes to reveal the gift inside.
