Before you ask, yes I know that it is Tuesday. I simply couldn't resist the glamorous Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge. I would also like to thank the Merry Monday Design Team for choosing my Ornamental Pine Card as last week's Runner Up.
Christmas Card Tips & Tricks
- When I thought of using Black on this Christmas card, I immediately thought of the Christmas Cheer stamp from the More Merry Messages stamp set (retiring August 27, 2014). All the lovely fonts just beg to be embossed white on black.
- Ornaments should be shiny and bright. Out came my Silver & Gold embossing powders. My Ornament Keepsakes (also retiring August 27) were first stamped with VersaMark Ink. Next, I poured on the embossing powder. And finally, it was time to heat things up. Heat Embossing will forever be the magical Stamping Technique to me.
- At this point the Silver Fancy Foil Vellum was a no brainer. Attach and bring on the shine.
Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge
Today's card is 4" x 6" which will not fit in a regular or medium envelope. Not a problem, with the Envelope Punch Board I can make 66 different size envelopes. Keeping with the glamour and glitz card theme, I fashioned my envelope with Brushed Silver Card Stock. Envelope Punch Board Video Tutorial
