Little Baby Big News Card

Pleasant Poppies BiG News Baby Card

Pleasant Poppies Custom Baby Card

Woo-Hoo! We welcomed our 10th Grandbaby into the family yesterday and that's BIG NEWS.  Don't ask me why such a  little baby calls for such a BIG, BIG CARD.  There's just something about the "Big News" stamp from the Big News stamp set that prompts me to make a big card.  This Pleasant Poppies Baby Card is 5-1/2 x 11".

Oversize Card Tips

  • I scored down the middle of a full sheet of 8-1/2" x 11" Card Stock to make my card base.
  • The added panels not only look fabulous, but they make my card sturdier.
  • Because my card is so large, the Pleasant Poppies Background stamp look positively elegant.

Custom Big News Baby Card

I made my oversized envelope with my Envelope Punch Board, then added BiG panels to the face of my envelope too.  I then colored my poppies with Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities.

Something for Baby

The inside of my card could easily be my Card front.  I used the "it's a girl" stamp is from the A Dozen Thoughts Stamp set, the "CongratYOUlations" stamp is from the Bravo stamp set and the buggy stamp is from the Something for Baby stamp set.  I continued with my panel look.

Poppies in Bloom

Inspiration for today's card came from these beautiful Poppies in Bloom Bedding.

I love this card. Your Poppies are perfect, I think you have mastered your Blendabilities . Your new granddaughter will bring you a lifetime of joy. What a nice way to welcome her to your family. We all share in your joy. Thanks for sharing. Cathy
