Snappy Day Flip Card

Flip Card

Flip cards are so easy and fun to make with Circle Card Thinlit Dies.  Just one pass through the Big Shot and your card is cut and folded.  No programing, no extended thinking, no fuss!

You're Sublime

The Crab is from one of my favorite stamp sets-You're Sublime.  He's just so Stinkin' cute!

Tip:  Be sure to use watercolor paper for best results watercoloring.  Speaking of snappy, the Aqua Painters make watercoloring a snap.  Love that they are filled with water.

For my colors today, I chose colors based on their names.  My color criteria was that they had to sound beachy or fun in sun.  What do you think?  Sahara Sand, Marina Mist and Calypso Coral

Other fun elements are the fabulous Subtles Background Designer Paper (love the fun script and diagonal stripes), Whisper White Seam Binding and a snippet of Gold Metallic Thread.

Here a Flip Card Tutorial that you might enjoy.

The Little Moments Gift Packaging

Watercolor Wings Gift Packaging

They say it's all in the presentation.  Well, the Watercolor Wings and Bold Butterfly Framelit dies sure make a beautiful presentation.  Wouldn't this make a lovely gift for a daughter, granddaughter, mother, sister, friend?  Who's on your list?

Watercolor Wings

I simply had to make a teeny tiny card with the little moments and teeny butterfly stamps from the Watercolor Wings Stamp Set.  This little card measures a mere 2" x 2", perfect to tuck just about anywhere.

Soft and Sweet Gift Packing Tips

  • These Sweet Sketched Dots Gift Bags sum up soft, sweet and fun.
  • To create a light and airy feel, I paired Dotted Lace Trim, Gold Metallic Thread, Pearl Jewels. a vellum tag and a Tea Lace paper Doily.  I spritzed the doily with rubbing alcohol and Blushing Bride ink, then crunched it up just a bit.
  • To build my butterfly I inked the Watercolor Wings outline stamp with Pool Party Ink and the detail stamp with Blushing Bride Ink.  I staggered the bottom Gold Foil butterfly just slightly so that the gold could peek through.
  • To add just a little more fun, I softly sponge the bottom corner of my bag with Pool Party Ink.

Hearing from you really makes my day.  Does this gift packing sing to you?  Let us know in the comments of this post.

Have a fabulous day,

Bravo No Bones About It

Bravo No Bones About It

Today I combined the Bravo and the No Bones About It Stamp Sets to make a fun & masculine Congrats Card.  To make my background images pop, I used the Emboss Resist Technique which is really quite simple.

Emboss Resist Technique

  • Heat Emboss Stamped Images.  For today's card I used White Embossing Powder.
  • Rub ink over the embossed area.  It's a bit like a Science Experiment.  The embossed images resist the ink, hence the name Emboss Resist.

No Bones About It

"RAWR means you're Awesome in DINOSAUR", how fun is that!

No Bones About It

Such a fabulous card deserves a fabulous envelope.  For a complete list of supplies for today's card and envelope scroll to the bottom of this post.

Freshly Made Sketches

Not sure it this one qualifies for freshly made, since the Emboss Resist Technique does require rubbing on ink to make the embossing pop.  Sketch provided by Freshly Made Sketches
