Card Making with Botanical Builder Dies

Botanical Builder Dies & Flourishing Phrases

 Hello Friends,

If you are looking for a bright and cheerful Card Making Idea, you'll like today's card which starts with the Botanical Builder Dies and ends with the fabulous Flourishing Phrases Stamp set.  I can't help but smile when I see this card.  It practically dances with happiness.

Botanical Builder Dies Stampin' Up!

 Card Making Tips

First, I cut a pretty selection of flowers and leaves with the Botanical Builder Dies.

Next, I cut a circle for my flowers with the Layering Circles Dies.  For just a touch of shine I also cut a Gold Foil Scalloped mat.

Then, I arranged my flowers on the circle and stamped "Just a Note" with the Flourishing Phrases stamp set and Old Olive Ink.  Now that's a focal point!

For added texture and interest, I cut a border with the Botanical Builder Dies and embossed a Woodgrain panel.

The Hello tag and the the Gold Trim are for extra cuteness.

Card Making Idea

A card this cute needs its own custom envelope, so I whipped one up with my Envelope Punch Board.  If you don't already own this fabulous tool, be sure to stop back October 1-5 and Save a whooping 25%.  It's a tool that every card maker should own.

Color ThrowdownI was inspired by Color Throwdown's lovely Color Challenge.  Thanks!

I chose Old Olive, Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise and Flirty Flamingo.  A pretty good match, I think.

Mojo Monday

And a Big Thanks to Mojo Monday for the Sketch Challenge.  I did cheat a little bit on this card sketch.  The sketch is square, but I made a standard 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" Card.
