Penned & Painted Hand Stamped Card

Penned & Painted Stampin' Up!

 Hello Friends,

Spring may be officially 3 weeks away, but everyone I talk to is looking for signs of spring now.  So I inked up my Penned & Painted stamp set with Daffodil Delight and Rich Razzleberry Ink to dazzle you with this Springtime Card.  Hand Stamped Cards are always a welcome surprise in the mailbox.

The Penned & Painted stamp set is a two-step stamp set that gives the look of a hand painted flower garden.  After I stamped my flowers, I brushed on Clear Wink of Stella for a sun kissed look.

After stamping I dry embossed the whole thing with the Sparkle Embossing Folder.  And finally, I stamped the "Just a Note" sentiment from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set and added a few accents.

Penned & Painted Get Well Card

Penned & Painted Get Well Card

Happy Monday Friends,

It's the good-bye Winter hello Spring time of year.  It's the time of year when I crave pretty flowers and sunshine.  Unfortunately, it's also cold and flu season and time to make Get Well Cards.  This card is going out to friends that are holding down the couch, sick with the flu.  I hope it will brighten their day.

The Penned and Painted stamp set is fabulous for so many reasons.  It's a two-step stamp set that makes beautiful layered flowers.  The flowers can be stamped with an outline like this previous post or they can be stamped to look like a pretty watercolor  bouquet as I did for today's Get Well Card  or...... they can be used for the Color Wash Technique by stamping with just the outline stamps as I did here.

Handmade Get Well Card & Envelope

For today's Penned & Painted Get Well Card and Envelope I skipped the outline stamps and stamped just the flower layers for the soft and pretty look.  I was enjoying the results so much, that I kept on going to the inside of my card and then to the lining of my handmade envelope which I made with my Envelope Punch Board.

Penned & Painted Stampin' Up!

To continue with the light and airy look I made a square frame with the Layering Squares dies and a wispy swirled heart with the Sunshine Wishes Dies.  For the illusion of sparks of light, I embossed my background with the Sparkle Embossing Folder.

Just Us Girls

This Just Us Girls Challenge sparked the idea of a fresh red and white with a touch of green color scheme.  Love the look of the bright red tulips peeking through the fresh white layer of sunlit snow.

Mojo Monday

I used this Mojo Monday Card Sketch for the layout of my card.  I didn't want all the layers from this sketch to weigh my card down, so used several frames and lots of fresh white space.

Orange Scream Cool Treats

Cool Treat Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

We recently discovered a new Ice Cream at out house.  It's called Orange Scream and it is yummy!  Think "Orange Creamsicle", creamy with a twist of orange.  It's surprisingly cool and refreshing.

Time to play with the Cool Treats stamp set and Frozen Treats Framelits Dies.  To create the look of Orange Scream Ice Cream, I stamped the soft serve swirl stamp with Peek-a-Boo Peach Ink at half strength (stamp off on scrap paper, then stamp).  I stamped on Very Vanilla Card Stock for a creamy look.

Then made a peachy watercolor wash for a background.  It's really quite simple to do.  Simply watercolor across a piece of watercolor Paper.

There's also some fun strawberries in the Cool Treat stamp set.  I stamped the strawberry and the leaves and for a little bling I embossed the seeds in gold.  Hint:  Be sure to use your embossing buddy to dust the strawberry before stamping the seeds otherwise the embossing powder may stick where you don't want it.

Gold Foil sheets, gold metallic thread and just a bit more gold embossing adds just the right amount of bling.

Cool Treats Frozen Treats

Just in case you thought that you can’t mix white and cream, you certainly can.  The combination of cream and white can be quite pretty.  You may have noticed that I stacked a Very Vanilla panel over my White Card Base.
