Fabulous Flamingo 2 Step Stamping Tips

Fabulous Flamingo

 Hello Friends,

We received news yesterday that the birth of our newest granddaughter is eminent, so it was time for a dry run of the Fabulous Flamingo Stamp set.  I love the "Tickled Pink for you" stamp for a Baby Girl Card.  Plus, it's a 2 Step Stamping stamp set.  Let the fun begin!

After a few dry runs, I figured out that it was a bit easier to line up stamps if I stamped the outline Flamingo Body stamp first.  For a softer look, I used Basic Gray ink rather the Basic Black.  The second layer was the flamingo body in Pink Pirouette ink.

Next, it was time to add some legs and another layer of pink.  For this layer, I stamped off and used Flirty Flamingo Ink at half strength.  Used full strength the Flirty Flamingo looked a little harsher than I wanted.

For the final step, I added definition to my bird's legs using the leg outline stamp and Basic Gray ink.  If you have been counting, that's more than 2 steps, but you get the idea.
