Pick a Pumpkin Gets Trendy

Pick a Pumpkin Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

Can you believe that the first day of autumn is Friday!  So what's your fall decorating style?  Is it the traditional oranges, reds and greens like this Vintage Leaves Card?  Or do you prefer the trendy look of whites, golds and neutrals?  Today, the Pick a Pumpkin stamp set went trendy with a gold pumpkin treat bag and a handmade card.

Pick a Pumpkin Treat Bag

Pick a Pumpkin Treat Bag

For the treat bag, I tucked a handful of kisses in a cello bag and tied it up with gold edged ribbon.

For the Tag, I cut a gold fold pumpkin with the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits Dies.

Next, I stamped "you're the best" from the All Things Thanks Stamp Set and embossed it in gold.

The Classic Label Punch made it quick and easy to finish up.

Pick a Pumpkin Stampin' Up!

Whether you like the traditional bright fall card or you prefer the trendy neutral look, fall is all about the textures.  For my Pick a Pumpkin card, I used the Layered Leaves Dynamic Impressions Embossing Folder and a length of Burlap Ribbon for a textured background.  I'm really impressed with all the cuteness in the Pick a Pumpkin stamp set.  Isn't the Patterned Pumpkin adorable?

Hogs & Kisses Mini Pizza Box

This Little Piggy Mini Pizza Box

 Hello Friends,

Ever want to make more than a card?  The new Mini Pizza Boxes from the Holiday Catalog are so much fun to decorate.  And when you are finished, you can slip something fun inside.  The adorable  flying pig from the This Little Piggy made a fun box topper.  I colored my pig with Berry Burst reinker and an aqua painter.

Mini Pizza Boxes

Mini boxes just the right size for holding a cookie or 3" x 3" cards.  I especially like that the Mini Pizza Boxes are food safe and that the inside has a smooth surface that protects your box from the oils from cookies.

Color Inspiration for today's card came from the Splitcoast Stampers Color Challenge-Berry Burst, Pink Pirouette and Lost Lagoon.  I substituted Pool Party for Lost Lagoon.   And for dessert, it was a popped up element.  I chose a non-card project.  I was itching to use the new Mini Pizza Boxes from the Holiday Catalog.   I will be participating in the Splitcoast Color Challenge every Tuesday from now through the end of March 2018.  And I am delighted to say that I will be  joining the Splitcoast Color Challenge Team for 6 months starting in October.  I hope that you will join me on this colorful adventure.  Go ahead, Kick start your paper crafting with a color challenge.
