In the City, Cutest Hostess Stamp Set Ever?

In the City Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

Some stamp sets are just so fun to play with and the In the City stamp set is one of those stamp sets.  The more you stamp, the cuter it gets.  The super fun part of this stamp set is that you stamp your color after you stamp your outline.  I love it!  No coloring, just straight stamping.  And, in my opinion, the In the City stamp set ranks very high on the cuteness scale.    Love the little planes, houses, trees, cars and clouds.

In the City Stampin' Up!

My colors for today's card are Tranquil Tide, Sweet Sugarplum, Soft Sky and Daffodil Delight.  I used Basic Black Ink to stamp the outlines and the sentiment.

Card Making Tip

 Neat Card Making Trick

The stamp that I wanted to use for today's card didn't say exactly what I wanted to say.  It said, "Thanks for letting us visit you."  Only one problem, only I be visiting on this trip.  To change the "us" to "me", I searched through stamp sets that I already owned looking specifically for a stamp that had the word "me".  I found just what I was looking for in the Lift Me Up stamp set.  Here's the trick.  I stamped the whole sentiment and then clipped out the part that I wanted which was the word "me".  I also clipped out the word "us" for my other stamp set.  Then I arranged my words to say something new.

12 Weeks of Christmas-Pretty Pines

Pretty Pines Handmade Card & Gift Box

Hello Friends,

Welcome to Week 3 of 12 Weeks of Christmas.  Today's projects were made with the Pretty Pines dies and the coordinating Christmas Pines Stamp set.  I also used The Little Things stamp set for my Mini Pizza Boxes.  Let's take a closer look.

Pretty Pines Mini Pizza Box

The Mini Pizza Boxes are fun before you do anything to them, but they are even sweeter once you decorate them.  First, I cut a square of the handsome Merry Little Christmas Designer Paper for the top of my box.  Love the Old Olive and Black plaid!  Then, I stamped "Sweets for my sweet" from The Little Things stamp set twice.  One in Old Olive and once in Basic Black.  Then I trimmed and layered.  The mistletoe was created with the Pretty Pines dies and Pearls.  Now that the gift box is complete, what would you put inside?  Who would be the recipient of your "Sweets for My Sweet Gift Box"?

Pretty Pines Stampin' Up!

My pretty pines and plaid Christmas card also starts off with the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper.  The time I cut pine boughs and pines cones with the Pretty Pines dies.  The sentiment on the doily is from the Christmas Pines stamp set.  For a complete list of supplies or to shop online, scroll to the bottom of this post.
