Beautiful You Stampin' Up!Hello Friends,

Have a mentioned that I love coloring with my Stampin' Blends.  The girl on this card depicts how I feel every time I pick up my new blends.  Just look at those gorgeous colors.  The Beautiful You stamp set is a great set to brush up on your coloring skills.  Hint:  Leave just a touch of white showing to look like light shining on your picture.  Can you spot the touch of light on her dress?

Just seeing all those beautiful colors in a row makes my heart sing.  Can you name the colors?  From top to bottom, they are Pineapple Punch, Highland Heather, Mint Macaron, Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green and Soft Suede.  Hint: When coloring with Stampin' Blends use Momento Ink to prevent smearing.

 Stampin' Blends Coloring Tips

To color her dress, I started with my Highland Heather light, then I worked in Highland Heather Dark along the lines and shadows.

Her hat started with Mint Macaron light and moved to Mint Macaron dark.  Hint:  You can go back and blend with the light after coloring with the dark, but take card not to over saturate or you will loose your blended look.

I bathed her in sunshine using my Pineapple Punch Stampin' Blend.  The Pool of water is Pool Party.

Here she is talking a stroll in the rain.  I'm really crushin' on her Granny Apple Green Umbrella.  Her top is Pineapple Punch and her skirt is Flirty Flamingo.  Hint:  The Petal Pink Stampin' Blends make a pretty skin tone.

For a fun twist, I stamped the sentiment directly on my card base.  I stamped Flirty Flamingo on Flirty Flamingo.  I cut my doily in half then placed in position to avoid perfect symmetry.

Quick Animal Outing Card

Animal Outing Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

Today's card was a lot of fun to make.  Since the first time I saw the Nature's Poem Designer Paper, I knew that I would use this paper with the cute giraffe from the Animal Outings Stamp Set.  I even cut an extra Scalloped Oval.  So cute, doesn't this paper remind you of a giraffe?

Animal Outing Stampin' Up!

I've been on a real coloring jag with the addition of my new Stampin' Blends Markers.  Today, I colored the leaves with a mix of Granny Apple Green and Call Me Clover.  Mr. Giraffe was colored with a mix of Pineapple Punch, Calypso Coral and Soft Suede.

To finish off my card, I used two of my favorite embellishments-Leaf Ribbon and Frames Elements.

Fabulous Flamingo & Tropical Chic Play Together

Fabulous Flamingo Tropical Chic Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

Sometimes 2 stamp sets simply look like they are just meant to be used together.  In today's card, you'll notice how nicely Fabulous Flamingo and Tropical Chic stamp sets play together.   I love all the cheerful colors together And I really like the add the texture of the Tropical Thinlit dies used as embossing tools with the Big Shot Embossing Mats.

Watch this Stampin' Up! Video that explains how you can use your dies for embossing.

My Flamingo was stamped in 3 different layers.  The bottom or base layer was stamped with Powder Pink Ink.  And the second more detailed layer was stamped with Flirty Flamingo Ink.  The final outlined layer was stamped with Tuxedo Black Ink.

I used sponge daubers to add two tone layers of ink for my Tropical Chic Flowers and foliage.  The flowers were ink with Mango Melody and Berry Burst Ink.  And the Foliage takes on a two toned look by partially sponging Shade Spruce Ink and stamping on Lemon Lime Twist Card Stock.  I cut a few additional fronds from Granny Apple Green and Shaded Spruce Card Stock.
