This Little Piggy Never Give Up Card

This Little Piggy Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

Today's card was inspired by our recent visit to Georgia to see family.  Our grandsons were learning about not giving up and growing their brain by trying new things.  The highlight of their study was this enormously funny Video- Ormie the Pig.  Of course, they had to share the video with us and we laughed so hard we cried.  Now it's time for me to share a funny card with them.  The This Little Piggy stamp set combined with the Ready to Pop stamp set combined nicely to make this NEVER GIVE UP card.

This Little Piggy Stampin' Up!

I colored the flying pig boldly with Flirty Flamingo ink.  The signs are a combination of sentiments from the This Little Piggy stamp set and the Ready to Pop stamp set.  I inked up the portions that I wanted for my signs with a Basic Black Marker and punched them out with the Classic Label Punch.

Joe and I were tickled when Lincoln and Levi tried something new at the park and hollered down at us, "Look, I'm growing my brain".    If you are inspired to try this card, you'll find the supply list at the bottom of this post.

The Challenge

Thanks to Always Playing With Paper for The Challenge Inspirations.  I was inspired by the fun colors and the signs.  For today's card I used Flirty Flamingo, Tempting Turquoise and Lemon Lime Twist.

Cool Treats Milestone Birthday Card

Handmade Milestone Birthday Card

Hello Friends,

How many Birthday Cards do you send in a year?  Handmade cards are the best.  They say, "You're worth the effort".  Plus, they can be personalized to fit any occasion.  Today's card is for a milestone birthday, so I personalized it with the large numbers dies and the Cool Treats stamp set.  Perfect for a 10 year old's summer birthday.

Hunter

Can't believe our oldest Grandson is 10 already.  Time flies when you're having fun.  Happy Birthday, Hunter!

Birthday Memories

Hunter's nickname is bear, so naturally I thought of the adorable bear in the Birthday Memories Designer Paper.  I did have to fussy cut him, but he was worth it.  Isn't he adorable?

Cool Treats Stampin' Up!

Robin's Card Making Tips

To make two tones of strawberries, I stamped off to make the lighter berry.  They were both stamped with Berry Burst Ink.  Tip:  I find it easiest to stamp both the strawberry tops and the popsicle sticks after they are cut (Frozen Treats dies).

The ice cream is So Saffron ink stamped off for a rich Vanilla look.   For a complete list of supplies scroll to the bottom of this post.

A Little Wild & Thailand Incentive Trip

A Little Wild Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

I'm back from my trip to Thailand, the 2017 Stampin' Up! Incentive Trip (See This Post for pictures of our trip) and still getting back in the swing of stamping.  Today's card was inspired by a painting that we bought from a local artist in Thailand.  I love that the A Little Wild stamp set includes both the front and the back of an elephant, a bear and a lion.

Elephant painting Thailand Artist Sonday

Joe and I walked by a local crafter's stand everyday when we walked to beach each morning.  This was the painting that grabbed our attention, so we naturally had to purchase it as a memento of our fabulous Thailand Incentive Trip.  It's just so happy!  It will find a home in our guest room.

Color Throwdown

Color Throwdown offered this yummy, bright color challenge this week that fit perfectly with my little elephant card idea.
