Life is a Beautiful Thing

Colorful Seasons Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

Just a quick post today.  We are just getting back from a memory making trip to Georgia visiting family.  We had a wonderful time just hanging together.  So today's card is just a quick and easy card  made with the Colorful Seasons Bundle.  Life is a beautiful thing.

Levi, Jonathan, Lincoln, Lacey, Julie

We just love this goofy family.  Left to right-Levi, Jonathan, Lincoln, Lacey and Julie.

Joe, Lacey

We enjoyed lots of baby cuddles with our newest granddaughter, Lacey.

Levi and Nana

Played with our adorable grandsons, Levi

and Lincoln,

Lincoln, Jonathan, Levi

And just did a lot of nothing that added up to a whole lot of something.

Colorful Seasons Stampin' Up!

And now just a bit about today's card.  I have a complete list of supplies at the bottom of this post, but here's the highlights.  "Life is a Beautiful Thing" from the Colorful Season stamp set is embossed in Gold on Garden Green.  Cooper Trim adds just a little more dazzle.  The deep embossed leaves were done with the Layered Leaves Dynamic Impressions Embossing Folder.  And the Adirondack chair was cut with the Seasonal Layers die.

You may have noticed that I used Kraft Card Stock for my card base.  If you love it as much as I do, you will be happy to know that it is back in the Holiday Catalog in a combo pack (Merry Little Christmas Card Stock Pack) with Old Olive.  The yummy green and white plaid paper (Quilted Christmas) is also from the holiday catalog.

Color Throwdown

A Big Thanks to Color Throwdown for their Color Challenge or may never have gotten my creative juices going this morning.  The colors are green, Kraft and White.

Moon Baby Goes Pink

Moon Baby Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

"Do you Know How Loved You Are?",  love this stamp from the Moon Baby stamp set.  It's the perfect sentiment to welcome our 14 Grandchild.  Lacey Elizabeth was born while Joe and I were on our Thailand adventure with Stampin' Up!.

Lacey Elizabeth

Meet Lacy Elizabeth, our 14th Grandchild

There's nothing like a grandchild to put a smile on your face, a lump in your throat and a spring in your step.

Love the look of pure joy on her brothers' faces.

Moon Baby Stampin' Up!

Coloring Tips and Tricks

I colored the Moon Baby with a combination of colored pencils, blender pens and markers.  The moon and the pink part of baby's PJ's were colored with Watercolor Pencils.  I colored her start and bottom patch with my Berry Burst Marker.  To color her face, I pick up just a dab of Powder Pink ink on a Blender Pen and colored.
