Stamping on Cookies

Happy April Fools Day,

Welcome to my kitchen.  I wasn't fooling about stamping on cookies.  Let us show you how to use the Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamps. Baking with children is so much fun. Stampin' Up! Cookie Stamp's rounded handle fits comfortably in even the smallest hands.

And stamping on cookies is fun for the whole family, just ask Connor.  

On a side note, I would normally stamp peanut butter cookies after baking.  But with a small helper, it's just so much fun stamp before entering the oven.

Robin's Recipe Corner

For today's demonstration we used Peanut Butter Cookies.

Peanut Butter Cookies

• 1/2 C Butter
• 1/2 C Peanut Butter
• 1 C Brown Sugar
• 1 egg
• 1/2 tsp vanilla
• 1-1/4 C Flour
• 3/4 tsp baking soda
• 1/4 tsp salt

Thoroughly cream butter, peanut butter, sugar, egg, soda, salt and vanilla.  Fold flour into creamed mixture.  Scoop into 1" balls.  Place onto cookie sheet.  Rub Cookie stamp in sugar and press top of cookie.  Bake 350 degrees for 8 minutes.  Cool slightly and remove from pan.

Grandsons Visit Nana & Papa

My sweet grandsons have been visiting Nana and Papa.  We have had a delightful time but they will be returning home today.  Happily their Mama is on the mend from a bout with pneumonia and is missing her sweet little guys.

Using Craft Room Tools Beyond the Class Room

Are you ready for a few grins and giggles?  Today's video is "Using your Craft Room Tools Beyond the Craft Room."  Who knows, you may even find it helpful.  Ready, let's get those boots ready for winter.

One word of caution, make sure that all your Iridescent ice and dazzling diamonds are cleaned up and out of sight before attempting this project.  Trust me, he won't be impressed if you heat emboss sparkles onto his boots.

Karli & Bryan's Boot Tips

• Buff boots after they dry to remove any excess snow seal and to add shine
• Bryan uses an old tooth brush and reheats
• Reapply at least monthly
• Always start with clean boots
• Do not apply to suede
• Seal darkens color of boots

Gently Falling Anniversary Card

Stampin' Up!'s Gently Falling Stamp Set is great for so many occasions.  Today's card is an anniversary card in honor of my son, Jonathan, and my daughter-in-law, Julie.  They are celebrating their 3rd anniversary already.

Julie's wedding bouquet was a lovely mixture of reds and oranges for their fall wedding.  Which inspired the colors on their anniversary card.

My New Grandson

Meet my newest Grandson, Brennan Oliver Feicht.  He arrived on the scene this morning.

I picked up a couple of extra passengers on the way home, Brennan's big brothers, Connor and Aiden.

We've had a busy weekend here at our house.  Our grandsons, Connor and Aiden came for a visit.

Ten years after 9/11 we're celebrating Grandparents day, but we're also remembering those who lost love ones on that tragic day, thanking those who defend our country and feeling blessed and grateful to live in such a wonderful nation.

One Week Until My Baby Boy's Wedding

 Only one week until my baby boy marries his beautiful bride.  Two Hundred Wedding Programs in varying degrees of done.  Colors are Garden Green & Early Espresso.  They both have outdoor college majors so the colors and the theme is appropriate.  We're scrambling to get everything done.  In just a few short days his brothers and sister-in-laws will start funneling in for the wedding. Fun, Fun, Fun

For the next week I will not be creating anything new in my stamping studio, but I will be sharing Convention Board Projects and swaps with you.
