Santa's Sleigh Easel Card

Santa's Sleigh Easel Card

Hello Friends,

Have you ever ridden in a sleigh?  There is just something about sleighs that is charming and quaint.  And the font in the Places You'll Go Stamp Set is just so playful and fun.  Put them both together to make an Easel card that is warm and cozy with a hint of delightful!

The sleigh was made with the fabulous Santa's Sleigh thinlits dies.  Rich Early Espresso contrasted Whisper White and a pop of Real Red make a sleigh that is clean and classy.

Places You'll Go Stampin' Up!

The Santa's Sleigh Thinlits Dies make fabulous Christmas Cards, but they can be used for so much more.  What occasions would this card cover?  Retirement?  Graduation?  With the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set, it could be either.

Let's talk about how to make an Easel Card!

How to Make An Easel Card

How to Make an Easel Card 101

Start with a 4-1/4" x 11" piece of card stock for your card base.  Score at 2-3/4" and 5-1/2".

You will also need a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of card stock in the same color as your base.  I used Crumb Cake.

For this card I also cut two additional front panels.  The Real Red Mat is 5" x 3-3/4" and the Whisper White front is 4-3/4" x 3-1/2".

To make the easel stand up, you will also need a smaller panel popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.  The Candy Cane Lane Designer Paper is 1-3/4" x 3-3/4" and the Whisper White mat is 2" x 4".

How to Make an Easel Card

Fold both score lines facing the same direction to form the Easel and apply adhesive to the bottom section only.

Lay your card flat and apply your card face.  It will only stick to the bottom panel where you applied your adhesive.  Easel Cards are fun because they can be easily displayed standing up.  And they a practical because they fold flat for mailing.
