Hold on to Hope Handmade Card

Hold on to Hope Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

Today, we'll use an oldie but goody stamping technique called Emboss Resist.  Love the soft washed background from showing off my Gold Foil Cross and my message of hope.  It's the first time that my Hold on to Hope stamp set has seen ink, but it won't be the last.

Hold on to Hope Stampin' Up!

Emboss Resist Technique

The Background for today's card is the Emboss Resist Technique.  First, I embossed on Watercolor Paper various stamped images from the Hold on to Hope Stamp Set.  Then I lightly spritzed the paper.  And finally, with an aqua painter I washed on Soft Sky and Lemon Lime Twist ink.  Love the soft ombre look.

Hold On To Hope Bundle

Sometimes you need hope. And sometimes you need someone to remind you that God is there for you.  Quickly cut crosses in a variety of sizes and styles with the Big Shot and these Framelits dies. The detailed cross die adds subtle embossing but does not cut.

Thank you for joining me today!  Is the Hold on to Hope Bundle on your Wish List?

Make a Get Well Card that Shines

Amazing You Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

Many of you know that I took some time off over the holidays to spending time with family making memories-14 grandkids in matching striped legged pajamas, lots of laughing hugging talking, not to mention the wild sledding run, and most of all just spending time all together.  It was a whole lot of wonderful, but it is still being referred to  as "the year of the plaque".  Several strands of the "yuckies" from various parts of the country were shared too.   Pretty much everyone ended up getting one or more strand of the flu.  We're slowly recovering one by one.  But probably the stinkiest thing that happened was that my DIL, Karli, coughed one time too many and ended up in the hospital with a herniated disc.  This card's for her.

Make a Get Well Card that Shines

While acknowledging the stink part, I also wanted to added a bit of sunshine and cheer.    Just a tiny strip of gorgeous, Myths & Magic Glimmer Paper really adds  a lot of dazzle.  This paper is jaw dropping gorgeous.  Pictures just don't do it justice.  There's 8 sheets each of Iridescent, lime green and turquoise.  For the look of sunshine, I used a few Tutti-frutti Adhesive-backed sequins.  Love that these cheerful sequins are self sticking.  They're a cinch to apply.  The flower is from a new Sale-a-bration stamp set called Amazing you.

Beautiful Bouquet Sorry You're Hurting Card

Beautiful Bouquet Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

Don't you just hate it when bad things happen to good people.  A handmade card won't make the bad things go away, but hopefully it will brighten their day.  With these colors and the whimsical stamps from the Beautiful Bouquet Bundle, it hard not to smile.

Beautiful Bouquet Stampin' Up!

When creating with the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp set and Bouquet Bunch dies just start stamping in happy colorings and cutting pieces as you go, then begin laying them out on your card front until you have a pleasing arrangement.  Finis it off with  In Color Bitty Bows.  They make a super quick and cute accents.

Even though the Beautiful Bouquet has lots and lots of terrific sentiments, they were not what I wanted to say today.  But the Here For You Stamp Set had just the right sentiments for a bad situation.

Color Throwdown

Thanks to Color Throwdown for today's bright and cheerful color  challenge.  I chose Melon Mambo, Lemon Lime Twist and Daffodil Delight for today's card.
