Sneak Peek Wood Words

Wood Words Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

One thing about living in the country,  the sound of a rooster crowing to welcome another new day is not uncommon.  I heard one crowing this morning and my new Wood Words stamp set began calling my name.  It was time to play!   Have you seen the 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! Catalog?   It Rocks!  If you have purchased from me in the past year, you should have it in your hands.   If you don't have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and need a catalog, please contact me and let me know so I can send you one!

If you have your catalog handy, turn to page 159.  Love the roughed up look of the farm images in the Wood Words stamp set.  For today's Something to Crow About Card I used the Rooster and the Circle stamps.

Stampin' Up! Copper Trim

While you are page 159, check out the Copper Trim.  Seriously, this is way too fun.  Pull it apart to make a copper mesh or leave it as it is and use a copper trim.  Either way, you win.

Something to Crow About

I did have a little help from two other stamp sets to complete my card.  The Kinda Eclectic stamp set is on the Retiring List, so there's only a few days left to scoop up this stamp set.  The sun makes a great backdrop for the snappy rooster.  And on page 180 of the 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! Catalog you'll find the versatile Labeler Alphabet stamp set.  The cool thing about this stamp set is that you can say whatever you want.

Fusion Card ChallengeThanks to Fusion for today's Card Sketch and Photo inspiration.  You can use just the sketch or use just the photo.  I chose to fuse them together and use both.

Just a Heads Up, the demand by demonstrators during the Pre-order of the stunning new Glitter Dots and the Copper Trim was over the top.  Which means that we are in a backorder situation. Sadly, the option to order these products has been pushed back from June 1 to the week of July 24.  Stampin’ Up! has reached out to manufacturers and to trying get them sooner.  Hopefully their hard work will payoff.  I’ll keep you posted.

Have a fabulous day,

Hand Stamped Spring Congratulation Card

Hand Stamped Spring Card

Hello Friends,

Do you remember blowing dandelion seeds into the wind on lovely spring days as a child.  Maybe you still enjoy the magic of watching the seeds scatter.  And there is almost always birds singing in the background in early spring.  I hand stamped today's Congratulations Card to capture the essence of spring.

Swirly Bird Stampin' Up! Card

It's carefree, scattered look reminds me of seeds blowing in the wind.

Believe it or not, the dandelion seed stamp is from the Balloon Celebration stamp set.  I stamped them in fresh spring like colors-Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum and Pool Party.  The Flirty Flamingo striped border is designer paper from the 2016-2018 Designer Series Paper Stack.  I really will miss that paper.  It's on the Stampin' Up! Retirement List and will only be available WHILE SUPPLIES LAST.

Swirly Bird Stampin' Up!

The Dandelion seed stamp pairs so nicely with the Swirly Bird Stamp set and Swirly Scribble Dies.  The pretty Frosted Sequins can be found on the Clearance Rack for $2!

Card Making in 3 Simple Steps

Card Making in 3 Simple Steps

Hello Friends,

Love this sweet encouraging card.  And the bonus....it's super easy to make.   Plus, there's a little magic involved.  At least, it seems that way watching the gold embossing powder turn to shiny, smooth gold  right before your eyes.  I been stamping a long time and the magic of heat embossing never grows old.

Card Making in 3 Simple  Steps

First, I stamped a Soft Sky background with the background stamp from the the You've Got This Stamp Set.  I also stamped a piece of "Sweet Sugarplum Washi Tape" with a stamp from the retiring Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.  I'm really going to miss Gorgeous Grunge when it retires.

Next, go over the whole thing with your embossing buddy.  You don't want gold powder sticking where it shouldn't.  With VersaMark Ink stamp the splatters (Gorgeous Grunge stamp set) and "You've Got This" (That's from the You've Got This stamp set, of course).  Cover with Gold Embossing Powder and shake off excess.  Heat Emboss and watch the magic.

Cut the flower and leave pieces with the Botanical Builder Framelit Dies and your Big Shot.  I used Sweet Sugarplum, Old Olive, Whisper White Card Stock, plus Gold Foil Paper.  Tip: For a more 3-D look, try curling your petals a bit with your Bone Folder, then pop up with Stampin' Dimensionals.  Did I mention that the Botanical Builder Framelits are 1/2 Price?  Scoop them up before they are gone.  They are available WHILE SUPPLIES LAST!
