Super Quick Mother's Day Card

Hello Stampers,

Happy Friday!  Are you looking for a quick & easy card idea to whip out this weekend for Mother's Day?  I have an idea for you.

Robin's Card Making Tips

The Scallop Envelope die and Designer Paper make a super sweet and super duper quick fashion envelope.  Whirl your designer paper through your Big Shot.  I used Berry Blossoms Designer Series Paper (retiring).  Fold, then slap on a bit of adhesive.  

Wisteria Wonder Ruffled Ribbon makes even a knot bow look positively delicious. 

Envelope done.  Let's do the card.

Cut a 3-3/4" x 3" piece of Whisper White card stock.  You probably have a piece that size lying around.  Score at 2".

Find a snippet of Wisteria Wonder card stock and punch edge with Eyelet Border Punch (retiring).  Adhere under front flap.

When in doubt, pull Teeny Tiny Wishes out.  Yep, stamp Happy Mother's day with Lucky Limeade ink.

Wisteria Wonder, Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade markers make stamping a few simple images from your Fruit & Flowers stamp set a breeze.

Attach to gift.  You are out the door in minutes.

Mini Milk Cartons for Easter Treats

Make Mini Milk cartons for Easter. The kids will love them.  They are small enough to fit into little hands.  And the design  intrigues kids of all ages.

The best part is that they are so easy to make, but they look like you spent hours.  We made 200 of these babies for my son's wedding last year.  I really appreciate that with one pass through the Big Shot, they are both cut and scored.  Better yet they are just one piece.  You simply fold on the score lines and adhere in a few key places.

Easter Box Paper Craft

Believe it or not a little brown bunny hopped merrily into view of my studio window as I crafted this Easter Box for you.  But he was a wily fellow and didn't care to have his picture taken.

 

 

So I took these spring pictures for you instead.

 

Spring officially arrived yesterday, but it felt more like summer here.  We broke a records in Ohio yesterday.  Can you believe that it got up to 82?  I heard that it was 84 in Columbus!

 

Let's get back to our Easter Box.  First, cut a Daffodil Delight box #2.  Next, cut 1-1/2" Whisper White Belly band and stamp using the Stampin' Up! Heaven Blessed stamp set. 

 

On the flip side, line your box with a 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" piece of Big Top Birthday Designer Paper.  Edge the top with the Eyelet Border Punch.

 

Using the Large Oval Punch, cut a window in your belly band.  Line up to your box and punch a window in your box.

 

Assemble and add a Tempting Turquoise band around bottom and a bow up top.  Fill with enticing  Easter Treats.

Decorate your favorite cupcakes with punch art bunnies and Ducks.

Bunny Punch Art

• Start with a folded Top Note Die (113463)  bag topper Head
• For the ears you will need four Whisper White Extra-Large Ovals (119859) and two Pretty in Pink Large Ovals (119855).  Slice an edge off two of the Ovals to give a flat edge.
• The bunny feet are made up of two Whisper White Extra-Large Ovals (119859), two Pretty in Pink 3/4" Circles (119873) and six Pretty in Pink Itty Bitty Punch Pack Circles (118309).
• Let's make his sweet face.  One Pretty in Pink Small Oval (120908) forms his mouth.  Two plump cheeks were cut with the 1" Circle Punch (119868).  slice 3 small strips of Whisper White to fan out his whispers.  His nose is a Pretty in Pink Small Oval (120908).  Finally, add his eyes with two Basic Black Itty Bitty Punch Pack Circles (118309) and two Whisper white 3/4" Circles (119873).
• Softy sponge the edges of cheeks with Pretty in Pink ink.

Chocolate Bunny Punch art is the same as above, just substitute Chocolate Chip Card Stock for the Whisper White Card Stock.  His cheeks are softly sponges with Chocolate Chip Ink.  

 Let's make a punch art duck

• Head is a So Saffron Top Note Die (113463) folded in half to top bags.
• Is head tuft and wings are 2-3/8" Scallop Circles (118874) cut in half.  Ink the edges with Pumpkin Pie Ink.
• His webbed feet are two Pumpkin pie Full Hearts (119883).
• His bill is hearts from the Heart to Heart (119881) Punch fashioned into a beak.
• Eyes are two Basic Black Itty Bitty Punch Pack Circles (118309) and two Whisper white 3/4" Circles (119873).
• These are resurrected projects from Stamping Country's 2011 Spring Newsletter, but still current for this year's Easter's baskets.

Punch Art Bunny

 Let's make a  Punch Art Bunny just in time for Easter.  

Start with two 2-1/2" Whisper White Circles (120906).  These will be the body and the head.

For the ears you will need four Whisper White Extra-Large Ovals (119859) and two Blushing Bride Large Ovals (119855).  Slice an edge off two of the Ovals to give a flat edge.

The bunny feet are made up of two Whisper White Extra-Large Ovals (119859). two Blushing Bride 3/4" Circles (119873) and six Blushing Bride Itty Bitty Punch Pack Circles (118309).

Let's make his sweet face.  One Blushing Bride Small Heart (117193) forms his mouth.  Two plump cheeks were cut with the 1" Circle Punch (119868).  slice 3 small strips of Whisper White to fan out his whispers.  His nose is a Blushing Bride Small Oval (120908).  Finally, add his eyes with two Basic Black Itty Bitty Punch Pack Circles (118309) and two Whisper white 3/4" Circles (119873).

Once your bunny is complete add a Blushing Bride Designer Belly Band around your candy bar. Adhere your "bunny" to the front.

Try adding him to an Easter Basket or to the front of a card.

Heaven Blessed Easter Card

He's soft. He's sweet.  He's Heaven Blessed. The Stampin' Up! Heaven Blessed stamp set captures all the sweetness of a child on Easter morning.

The Gate Fold Easter Card is textured to mimic the Easter Basket using the Square Lattice embossing folder.  Score a 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" card base at 2-1/8 & 6-3/8" to create the "gate fold".

Our precious little someone is framed with Lucky Limeade and Pool Party labels from the Labels Collection Framelits.

I love, love, love the coordinating envelope.  And it is so easy to make with the Simply Scored Diagonal plate.  Cut a 7-3/4" square piece of Designer Paper.  Score at 3-1/8", 4-1/8", 3-1/8" & 4-1/8". Clip out the four small triangles.  Fold and trim peak.  Seal.  Envelope Video Tutorial Here.

Kids Easter Crafts & Teachable Moments

Let's start a week of Easter Crafts with a Easter Card that teaches.  Catch those teachable moments as you craft together.

Teach the colors of the Rainbow in order with this Easter Card.  The first five colors are cut with the Labels Collection framelits.   Finish up with fluttering butterflies (Beautiful Wings Embosslits) of the final two colors.

What are the colors of the rainbow in order?  The easiest way to remember is with this name, ROY G BIV, Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.

The center framelit highlights the Easter message with gold embossing.  On a side note, Pacific Point would probably have been a better blue choice.

Go ahead, turn your crafting time into teachable moments.
