Scrapbooking Boys

He's a boy under construction.  Well, he was a boy under construction.  This is my son, Ben, who turned 31 this year. It's interesting how in a little boy's world play is important work. Digital scrapbooking is a great way to preserve those memories from the past. So dust off those photos, scan them and put them into a beautiful scrapbook.  Better yet, preserve today's precious moments.

Digital Meets Traditional Rubber Stamping

What happens when you combine traditional rubber stamping and Digital?  Answer: A truly great masculine card using limited supplies.   If you are reluctant to give Digital a try, this is a great way to get your feet wet.

I wanted a masculine card for my son, Bryan, who is graduating from college in May and just landed a job as a timber buyer.  His major is Forestry.  My tried and true Lovely as a Tree stamp set was a perfect choice, but I also wanted to add trendy sayings.  Ta-da, My Digital Studio came to the rescue with Top Notch Woodcuts.  Love the trendy look and the download was just $3.95!

Lovely As A Tree

Lovely As A Tree is a true classic stamp set .  It's weathered the test of time as an all-time favorite stamp set.  Lovely as a Tree was one of my first stamp sets and I still love it.  The Baby Wipe Swipe Stamp Technique is perfect for adding a rainbow of color to my stamped oak leaves. 

 

Baby Wipe Swipe Rubber Stamping Techinque

The Baby Wipe Swipe stamping technique is just so easy to do.

• Fold Baby Wipe in quarters so that you have a nice edge, then apply re-inker to edge of wipe and "swipe".   Tip:  Glossy White card stock (item 102599) works best.  Your baby wipe will glide across the glossy surface.
• Stamp image using Jet black Stazon ink.  Hint:  Stazon ink is designed to work on non-porous surfaces.   Heat embossing also works well.
