Fabulous Flamingo & Tropical Chic Play Together

Fabulous Flamingo Tropical Chic Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

Sometimes 2 stamp sets simply look like they are just meant to be used together.  In today's card, you'll notice how nicely Fabulous Flamingo and Tropical Chic stamp sets play together.   I love all the cheerful colors together And I really like the add the texture of the Tropical Thinlit dies used as embossing tools with the Big Shot Embossing Mats.

Watch this Stampin' Up! Video that explains how you can use your dies for embossing.

My Flamingo was stamped in 3 different layers.  The bottom or base layer was stamped with Powder Pink Ink.  And the second more detailed layer was stamped with Flirty Flamingo Ink.  The final outlined layer was stamped with Tuxedo Black Ink.

I used sponge daubers to add two tone layers of ink for my Tropical Chic Flowers and foliage.  The flowers were ink with Mango Melody and Berry Burst Ink.  And the Foliage takes on a two toned look by partially sponging Shade Spruce Ink and stamping on Lemon Lime Twist Card Stock.  I cut a few additional fronds from Granny Apple Green and Shaded Spruce Card Stock.

Petals & More Card Rocks with New Colors

Petal Palette Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

Wow, I'm loving the new color Stampin' Blends.  They color like a dream.  The outline stamps of the Petal Palette stamp set were a perfect opportunity to play.
Petal Palette Stampin' Up!

Just look at all those beautiful colors-Highland Heather, Lovely Lipstick, Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green and Pineapple Punch Light.  My roses were colored with various mixes of pinks with splashes of Pineapple Punch thrown in for good measure.  The little purple bell flowers were colored with the lovely Highland Heather.  It's really a gorgeous purple pair.  And I have to admit, was just itching to try the spirited Granny Apple Green Blends on the leaves.

Petal Palette Stampin' Up!

The coordinating Petals and More dies gave me just the right amount of pop.  For a fun touch, I inserted a panel of Granny Apple Green Card Stock on the inside.  I splattered just a hint of Pool Party ink across my card to perk up the white space.  The last bit of dazzle is a few random Glitter Enamel Dots in Granny Apple Green.  Let me just say, the pictures don't do the enamel dots justice.  They really are quite stunning.  The frayed twine is Nature's twine.  It just looks like it belongs.  Tip:  Just separate the strands with your fingers.

I'm having so much fun with all my new Stampin' Blend colors!  I feel a video tutorial pushing its way into the future.

Note:  The "just a note" sentiment is actually from a different stamp set called Flourishing Phrases.

 Hello Friends,

Do you have a favorite Designer Paper?

Quick & Easy Card Making

For these cards you need a 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Card Base.  I used Blushing Bride Card Stock.  Then, Layer on a piece of Petal Promenade Designer Paper (4" x 5-1/4").  My accents and embellishments were all cut with the Stitched Labels Dies.  The Sentiment is a stamp from the Stitched All Around stamp set inked with Mossy Meadow Ink.  Through in a snippet of Very Vanilla Lace Trim and a few loops of White Baker's Twine and your card is complete.  Note:  I did tear out the center of the Stitched Label to make a peek-a-boo window for my sentiment.
