Kids Easter Crafts & Teachable Moments

Let's start a week of Easter Crafts with a Easter Card that teaches.  Catch those teachable moments as you craft together.

Teach the colors of the Rainbow in order with this Easter Card.  The first five colors are cut with the Labels Collection framelits.   Finish up with fluttering butterflies (Beautiful Wings Embosslits) of the final two colors.

What are the colors of the rainbow in order?  The easiest way to remember is with this name, ROY G BIV, Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.

The center framelit highlights the Easter message with gold embossing.  On a side note, Pacific Point would probably have been a better blue choice.

Go ahead, turn your crafting time into teachable moments.

3-D Craft Project for Kids

The Barnyard Buddies stamp set was calling to me to make my Grandsons their very own Farm Animal Card Pockets.  Make them for your kids or grandkids.  They can learn their colors and counting too.  But don't be too disappointed if they say that the barn is red instead of Poppy Parade or if the tractors are green instead of Wild Wasabi.

The Barnyard Buddies card pocket is perfect for traveling. Pack up your bags and learn to count all the way to Nana & Poppa's house.  They will be counting sheep as they fall asleep.

Animals and other barnyard buddies were stamped with Poppy Parade, Wild Wasabi, Baja Breeze, So Saffron, Blushing Bride and Peach Parfait to match the Just Add Cake Designer Series Paper.

Loving the Family Reunion stamp set to personalize the Petite Pocket.  Add a heart punched with Heart to Heart punch to say, "I Love You."  Finish your project off with just a touch of "silky" using the Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon.

My Big Shot got a workout for this project.  The Petite Pockets were die cut with Just Add Cake Designer Series Paper.  Next, I die cut 6 tags with the Two Tags die. And finally the numbers were die cut with the Timeless Type Alphabet Junior Sizzlits.

Crafting a Paper Flower Garden

This has to be the best Catalog cover ever.  I just had to craft my own flower garden.  They don't smell as nice as the ones outside, but they sure do look pretty. The Flowers are Calypso Coral, Pink Pirouette, Peach Parfait and Riding Hood Red.  Don't you just love these colors together?
