Let's finish up our Organize Your Craft Room Series with a  little of this & that.  Today I'll bring you into my studio for some final tips & tricks on organizing your craft room.

It might interest you to know that my studio is a mere 12' x 11-1/2' and that it is a common walkway.   So find a place to tuck your craft room.  It's well worth it.

According to comments in January's Blog Candy Giveaway, organizational videos are some of your favorites.  Let's add to our collection. Today's video is a first in a series of videos designed to help you organize your craft room.  There's just something about the New Year that makes us want to step it up a notch and organize our craft rooms.

We all love our Big Shots and all the lovely dies and embossing folders that go with them.  Let's organize our area so that we can find what we have.

Robin's Stamping Studio

Did you know that today is National Clean Your Room Day? Well, it is.  At least it said so on the internet.  So in honor of National Clean Your Room Day, you're invited to take a tour of Robin's Studio. Cleaned for the occasion, of course.
  

 

I'm so glad that Riding Hood Red is coming back in July.  Because, as you can see, my stamping studio is Riding Hood Red.  Love it.  I can't help but be inspired with the windows looking into my garden and my vivid Riding Hood Red canvas.

 

Card stock is hanging in files with each drawer labeled making it a snap to locate colors. If you look closely, it's already rearranged for the Color Renovation. The lovely Stamp case was custom made by my step-father.  It's the bomb!  I love it.

Punches are stored on racks that were originally intended for garden decoration.

My stamping table is over a hundred years old.  It was used for Sunday School for many years. My darling husband recovered the top with a crisp white laminate.  It's as solid as a rock.  It may last for another hundred years.

Robin's Studio

Here's a tour of Robin's Riding Hood Red stamp studio.  The key to organizing a studio is to have the things that you use the most close at hand.  My tabletop cutter and Big Shot are on the back desk.  Ribbons, eyelets and brads are on the wall.  My inks are just a spin away in color caddies.  Drawers hold water color supplies, embossing supplies, adhesives, and other miscelleneous items.  Business forms are in file folders.  I found some cool metal shelves in the gardening section for my beloved punches.  At the end are more cube storage units for markers, tool crafter kit, wheels, and such.

Black and white family pictures are a sharp contract to Riding Hood Red Walls. And, of course, I couldn't resist the Statement of the heart Bella Rose poster from convention.  The new Decor Elements CREATE is featured for a great white on red accent.

A chic Target bookshelf houses magazines and binders.  It's great to have my Stampin' Up! apron and camera hanging within quick reach.  Card stock and papers are in folders in the center stamping desk.

The fabulous stamp storage was custom made by my step-father.  Isn't he a peach?  For easy access I store stamps on their side so that they slide out easily.  They are grouped in categories, and then alphabetized.  It's such a great system that I can call home and even my husband can find them at a moments notice with just a little bit of coaching. :) My computer and Epson printer (a gift from my wonderful husband) are housed in the computer cabinet.
