Colorful Seasons Card Tips

I could almost feel the water washing over my feet as I splashed a little Tranquil Tide Ink across my Watercolor paper.  Tranquil Tide is a beautiful new In Color that's a cross between green and blue.  To add the appropriate amount of sparkle and shine, I then washed my Wink of Stella Brush across my Tranquil Tide.

To make a cool refreshing glass of Lemonade with a coral straw, I inked my stamp with my So Saffron and Calypso Coral Markers.

Relax and enjoy your weekend,

Sneak Peek Wood Words

Wood Words Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

One thing about living in the country,  the sound of a rooster crowing to welcome another new day is not uncommon.  I heard one crowing this morning and my new Wood Words stamp set began calling my name.  It was time to play!   Have you seen the 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! Catalog?   It Rocks!  If you have purchased from me in the past year, you should have it in your hands.   If you don't have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and need a catalog, please contact me and let me know so I can send you one!

If you have your catalog handy, turn to page 159.  Love the roughed up look of the farm images in the Wood Words stamp set.  For today's Something to Crow About Card I used the Rooster and the Circle stamps.

Stampin' Up! Copper Trim

While you are page 159, check out the Copper Trim.  Seriously, this is way too fun.  Pull it apart to make a copper mesh or leave it as it is and use a copper trim.  Either way, you win.

Something to Crow About

I did have a little help from two other stamp sets to complete my card.  The Kinda Eclectic stamp set is on the Retiring List, so there's only a few days left to scoop up this stamp set.  The sun makes a great backdrop for the snappy rooster.  And on page 180 of the 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! Catalog you'll find the versatile Labeler Alphabet stamp set.  The cool thing about this stamp set is that you can say whatever you want.

Click the Product to Shop Online.  Note:  New Items will not be available until June 1, 2017.

Fusion Card ChallengeThanks to Fusion for today's Card Sketch and Photo inspiration.  You can use just the sketch or use just the photo.  I chose to fuse them together and use both.

Just a Heads Up, the demand by demonstrators during the Pre-order of the stunning new Glitter Dots and the Copper Trim was over the top.  Which means that we are in a backorder situation. Sadly, the option to order these products has been pushed back from June 1 to the week of July 24.  Stampin’ Up! has reached out to manufacturers and to trying get them sooner.  Hopefully their hard work will payoff.  I’ll keep you posted.

Have a fabulous day,

2017-2019 In Color Comparisons

Powder Pink

Hello Friends,

Are you ready for our annual In Color Comparisons?  The 2017-2019 Stampin' Up In Colors are Powder Pink, Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Tranquil Tide and Lemon Lime Twist.  Let's start with the ladies.

Powder Pink is the square in the middle.  It's a soft peachy pink.  To the left is the soft and clear Pink Pirouette and to the right is the dusky Blushing Bride.

Berry Burst

Berry Burst, is it pink or is it purple?  You decide.  In the center is the new Berry Burst In Color.    I found this recipe for Berry Burst Sorbet Here.  It really does look remarkably like our Berry Burst.  To left is Melon Mambo a bright, youthful pink and to the right is Rich Razzleberry, a jazzy purple.

Berry Burst Sorbet

Fresh Fig

Fresh Fig is definitely a dusky purple with a touch of red.   To the left I compared it to Elegant Eggplant and to the right I compared it to Perfect Plum.

Tranquil Tide

Tranquil Tide leans towards green or does it?  Pair it with blues and it looks almost blue.  To the left is Emerald Envy and to the right is Island Indigo.

Lemon Lime Twist

Lemon Lime Twist is unlike any other color that we had before.  It's unique and fresh and fun!  On the green side I compared Lemon Lime Twist with our old favorite, Old Olive.  And on the yellow side, I compared it with Daffodil Delight.  But there really is no adequate comparison.  Lemon Lime Twist oozes with energy, hence the quirky little animals snipped from the Pick a Pattern Paper.

Fresh Florals

Did you notice the Fresh Florals Designer Series paper on each card?  It's 40 lovely sheets of In Color Designer Series Paper featuring Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist, Powder Pink and Tranquil Tide.
