Hello Friends,
Today's Sending Sunshine Pocket Card is a fun way to send a handmade card with a little something, something tucked inside. Send a gift card for graduation or just because. Or maybe you would rather tuck a little cash or a treat in your card for a birthday. Whatever the occasion, send a little sunshine and a little something extra with today's Sending Sunshine Pocket Card.
I had planned to make a video tutorial for today's card, but time did not permit. The front scene was quick and easy to stamp with the Sending Sunshine stamp set by Stampin' Up!. I used a combination of Balmy Blue and Seaside Spray to stamp the water. Then using my Blending Brush, I brushed on a Balmy Blue Sky, then stamped a few random clouds. The sand was brushed on with Sahara Sand ink, then I stamped the specks using the same ink. The rising sun was stamped with Daffodil Delight ink and the greenery was stamped with Granny Apple Green ink. I stamped the sentiment with Pacific Point ink and trimmed to make 3 pieces.
The paper is from the outgoing Free Berry Blessings Paper from January-February 2021 Sale-a-bration. In another two days this beautiful paper will be gone.
How to Make the Pocket insert
Cut a 11" by 4-1/4" piece of Balmy Blue Card Stock. Score at 2-3/4", 5-1/2" and 8-1/4". Stamp "Sending Sunshine Your Way" using Pacific Point Ink. Cut two Sweetly Stitched scalloped rectangles for the center panel. Then cut two pieces of 2-3/4" x 1-5/8" Berry Delightful Paper (blueberries) to place over scalloped rectangles. Slice a corner off the end panel.
For the last step, adhere the left panel to the left side of the card as shown. Fold score lines. Add a thin line of glue on 3 the sides and bottom of the pocket. Fold over the back of the card for perfect placement. Tuck in your surprise and you are done with your card!
Reminder, if you would like the Berry Delightful Designer Paper or any other Free January-February 2021 Sale-a-Bration product, the clock is ticking. This offer ends at the end of February, just days away.
Have a fabulous day,
