Hello Friends,
It all began with a pile of ALTOIDS tins and an October Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper Sale. Joe loves peppermint ALTOIDS. He keeps a ready stash in his car at all times, so I found myself with bunches of these cute tins. It's so, so easy to decorate and gift these tins for countless occasions with designer paper, plus Stampin' Up! is offering 15% a select group of designer papers for October. Are you ready to see these thrifty recycled gifts?
With my Trimming the Town Designer paper I was able to make a Welcome Tin. I'm imagining using this tin to welcome someone to the neighborhood, to my team, to my family, or to my church. With Christmas just around the corner, I naturally needed to make a Christmas Tin of gift-giving. Did you know that Gift Card quite easily fit in ALTOID tins? Speaking of the inside, don't neglect to decorate the insides of your tins too! My last tin in this set was repurposed to make a Congratulations gift tin. I am imagining it as a Congratulations on your new home or graduation or any other accomplishment that deserves celebrating.
It was quite simple to make Gift Tins for Baby, Birthday, and "Whale Done" Occasions with the Whale of a Time Designer Paper and the Whale Done stamp set.
For my third trio of Gift Tins, I simply repurposed my tins with Forever Greenery Designer Paper, a quick tag, and some bows. The tin in the upper left would make a beautiful Congrats on your Retirement Gift. Even the bow was fashioned from designer paper! For the Wedding Tin, I simply covered my tin with Forever Greenery Paper and dressed it with ribbon. For the tag, I stamped my good wishes then curled my paper with my bone folder. My Birthday Tin was wrapped with a belly band made of designer paper.
What occasions do you have coming up? Trim recycling your old tins with designer paper. Stampin' Up! has made it even easier with their 15% Off Select Designer October Paper Sale. The Playful Pets Designer paper is calling me. Can you imagine those cute pets on your handmade gift tins? See Papers Offered

Have a fabulous day,
Hello Friends,
Happy Friday! I love autumn with its burst of colors and cool crisp air. What a glorious way to usher in winter. Today's framed art demonstrates how to create beautiful fall decor using supplies that you probably already have in your craft room. For this simple autumn piece, I used the Country Home stamps and the Plaid Tidings designer paper. I colored the images with my Stampin' Blends to match the paper.
The two cards were previously featured on this blog, but I really wanted to show them display together. All three projects follow an autumn theme using the Country Home stamps, the Harvest Hello stamps, and the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper.
Here's a tip that moved this simple Country Home Framed Art from nicely done to well done in seconds. Do you see it? I colored the little white spaces around the leaves and berries near the pitcher with the same Seaside Spray Stampin' Blend so that it doesn't look out of place in front of the pitcher. The rest of the leaves, cattails, and berries kept their white space so that they blend in with the Whisper White Card Stock. Do you see the subtle change now?
For this card, I mixed the County Home and Harvest Hellos stamps. It was showcased on yesterday's blog post. Get the full scoop here.
For this Autumn Thank You Card, I went to my Harvest Hellos and Massive Thanks stamp set. Pick up all the card making details here.
