Curvy Celebrations Learning From My Mistakes

Hello Friends,

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  After a little trial and error, I was able to knock out a stack of the Curvy Celebration cards in no time.  The Curvy Celebrations Bundle is an early release bundle that will be available in the upcoming January -June 2021 Catalog.  The little birdhouse was actually made using a house die from the Home Together dies from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog.

Learning From My Mistakes Curvy Dies 

First Mistake-For the first card that I made, I used the curvy die to cut the card base.  Then I tried to cut the designer paper with the same die hoping that it would match my first curve.  Silly me!  That did not work out so well, but I did learn something.

For this particular card design, it is much better to cut the curve on the designer paper first.

After cutting the curves on the designer paper adhere to the card base as shown.  That's when I made my second mistake.  Let's just say that I wouldn't recommend using glue to adhere the designer paper to the card base. Cutting machines work with pressure and pressure causes the glue to ooze out.  I felt like I was in kindergarten all over again. Use tape!

To make the second cut simply line up the die along the curve of the first cut on the designer paper.  That was so much easier!
