60th Anniversary Card

Hello Friends,

We have some dear friends who recently celebrated their 6oth Wedding Anniversary.  That extraordinary!  An occasion of such important calls for a handmade card that's beyond the norm.  Somehow a standard A2 or 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" card seemed too ordinary, so I made a slimline Card with some of my favorite Designer Papers-Expressions in Ink and Shimmer Vellum.  Then, I personalized the card using my Playful Alphabet Dies and gold foil paper.  What is the symbol for 60th Anniversaries anyway?  I know that it is gold for 50 and silver for 25.

Make Your Own Calendars with Days to Remember

Hello Friends,

Have you seen the Days to Remember stamp set?  Now we can easily make our own little hand stamped calendars. Hint: For best results stamping calendars, I high recommend stamping with the Stamparatus.  As you can see, calendars are also a fabulous way to personalize handmade cards.  Here's 3 ideas to get you started.

First up is a May Birthday card with the adorable Party Puffins center stage.  For addition interest and color, I cut a few Stitched Stars.

What says June better than fresh ripe strawberries?  Here in Ohio the blossoms are on our strawberries plants.  Very soon we will be able to pop juicy red strawberries directly into to our mouths from the berry patch.  What a lovey earlier summer treat!  Naturally, this calendar was made with the Sweet Strawberries stamp set.

And finally, for a wedding around the corner in July I simply added a few red and blue Stitched Stars.  The playful border was made with the Stitched with Whimsy dies.

Forever & Always Anniversary Card

Hello Friends,

For today's fun in my Craft Room I'm playing with the Forever & Always Bundle to make an Anniversary Card for my Son and Daughter-In-Law to celebrate their beautiful love.  Love the Black +White with an touch of Poppy Parade!  It's so happy, yet elegant! 

Here's the Forever & Always Anniversary Card.  The black and white designer paper is the True Love Paper from page 11 of the January to June Stampin' Up! Mini Catalog.  The Love and Always layered dies paired with the single rose really make my day. 

To say Happy Anniversary inside, I heat embossed a sentiment from the Many Mates stamp set and punched a heart frame using my Heart Punch Pack.

The Resin Hearts add a whimsical feel to my card.  I embossed a piece of Poppy Parade Card Stock with my 3D Subtle Embossing Folder to add drama and texture.
