Yes, I have been AWOL for quite some time.  It's been a whirlwind of activity here, but I am back with a Snowman Season Card.

What is it about the first snow that is so exciting?  We had our first real snow of the year here in Ohio yesterday.  Beautiful!  Naturally, I dug out my Snowman Season stamp set and started creating a handmade card.

Freezin' Fun Slimline Card

Hello Friends,

Yesterday, we woke up to a winter wonderland here in Ohio which put me in a playful mood which made me think of the delightful Freezin' Fun stamps and their coordinating dies.  This stamp set is packed with so much fun!  I love it!  I decided to make a Slimline Card so I could load on even more whimsical images. 

Oh, how I love the first real snow of the year!  This is the view from my back porch.  Now, let's get back to my Freezin' Fun Slimline Card.

It's getting to be that time of year where I make it a challenge to use up bits and pieces of my winter designer paper.  The sleds and skis brought to mind the Trimming the Town Designer Paper.  I snipped off a few mountains to lay the backdrop for my card, then I went back and trimmed around a little house thinking that it might be fun to add to my card later.

How To Make Freezin' Fun Slimline Card

To make the snowy slopes, I used the curvy stitched die from the Freezin' Friends dies.  I should mention that my card base for my Slimline Card is 8-1/2" by 7-1/2" scored at 3-3/4" to make a card that is 8-1/2" tall and 3-3/4" wide.  

The rest of my card was fun and games, stamping and coloring.  Fun! Fun! Fun!  What's not to love about the poofy snow-covered trees and the perky little animals out for a romp in the snow?

Made In Minutes Let It Snow Card

Hello Friends,

"Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow", wow, I have the Let It Snow song by Dean Martin stuck in my head.  This morning I woke up to big beautiful snowflakes!  I know that just saying that makes some people cringe, but I love snow especially after a weekend of turkey and stuffing, family fun, Christmas Trees, and Christmas music.  We had it all. This morning's snow is just the icing on the cake.  So naturally, today's Make It In Minutes Monday Card is a Let It Snow Card stamped with  Snowman Season stamps.

 

Psst! Snowmen Are Some of the Easiest Things to Color!

Seriously, snowmen are mostly white so what's left to color?  Answer:  Very Little

So even though today's card involves coloring, it so minimal that it still fits in the Make It In Minutes Card Category.  Plus, there are so many different ways that you could color this adorable snowman from the Snowman Season Stamp Set. Let the card supplies you have on hand determine how you will color him.

1. Have a set of watercolor pencils?  Color him with watercolor pencils.  See page 144 of your 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. 
2. Still new to the whole card making scene and you only own a few ink pads?  No problem.  Dip a Stampin' Blend (102845) into your into your ink pad to pick up a bit of color to add to your snowman.
3. Or, try coloring his little details with a pack of Stampin' Write Markers (page 144 of your 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog
4. If you are lucky enough to own some of the Stampin' Blends, color away with your blends.
5. Bonus Tip!  Make your snowman sparkle.  Brush him with a Wink of Stella Glitter Brush (141897)
